Howdy, I’m Sam

I recently branched out as a freelance consultant to help organizations and individuals create events that are not just beautiful, but meaningful. Events that build connection, deepen loyalty, and drive real results.

With two decades of experience across nonprofit, corporate, and high-profile private events, I've worked in design, catering, production, and strategy for Fortune 500 companies, household brands, and some of Southern California's most respected arts nonprofits.

Most recently I served as Senior Director of Special Events at the Pasadena Playhouse, where I helped build the organization's flagship fundraising gala from the ground up, growing it into one of the community's most significant annual events. It crystallized something I'd been learning for a long time - the best events are built on better thinking, genuine care for the people in the room, and a whole lot of intention in the details.

My career has been defined by a simple conviction, a great event is about the guests. When a room feels seen and cared for, something shifts. They open up, connect, and become invested in the mission. That is where the real magic happens.
